A couple weekends ago I traveled to Spokane, WA for my last set of spring mentoring sessions. If you didn't get my spring newsletter, I mentioned that mentoring is completed for the spring and will resume again this fall, just email me if interested.
I got the pleasure of chatting with four fabulous photogs in the Spokane (and surrounding) areas! The Davenport Hotel hosted our meeting and we had a great time chatting about business and photography. After our chat, we headed out for some headshots and then capped the evening off with a styled shoot out at Felt's Field (more of those images later).

During my trip to the Philly/NJ/NYC area, Tamara so graciously flew me over to Pittsburgh so she could have a mentoring session. Tamara owns Tamara's Camera Photography. She is based out of Weirton, WV, but also services the Pittsburgh area. She has an amazing personality and we had a great time talking shop! We also were able to take a quick break to eat at the world-famous Dee-Jay's Ribs!! Normally, ribs wouldn't be my first choice of food, HOWEVER, these were pretty darn AMAZING!!
Tamara, I had a great time talking about your ever-growing business and learning about your future plans and family life. I wish you MUCH success and can't wait to see you grow!
Most photographers are usually not used to having the cards turned on them for photographs, but Tamara did a FANTASTIC job and she even brought some super-rad shoes, take a look below!

UPDATE KERI! I am in the process of "re-branding" and contract states they should be done by September 30th - along with the re-branding, a whole new "blog" web-site. Things are great and I really treasure the 1 1/2 days we had for my mentoring :-) We also finished building our studio and it's my own little paradise. Next time you are in our area, I'll treat you to Dee Jays and you can visit my new digs!!

Last weekend I travel to the Philadelphia area to do two sets of mentoring sessions. The first one was with Jane of Jane Ammon Photography and Dr. Lisa Arthur, who is actually a dentist by trade. If you are in the Hamilton, NJ area and need some work done, check out her website HERE!
I also have to give a shout-out to Jane since she is a fellow Sony shooter. :-)
We met at the Crowne Plaza in King of Prussia...their staff took EXCELLENT care of us!! When it came time to take some headshots, I have to tell you, it wasn't too warm outside. Probably about 35 degrees. We did our best to grab some quick shots without freezing too much. :-)
Ladies...I had a fantastic time mentoring the both of you!!! I wish you all the best in your photography endeavors and please keep in touch!
(My second mentoring stop was Pittsburgh, PA, which will be highlighted on the blog next week)

On Sunday I met up with the beautiful Cathleen of Cathleen Schmidt Photography for a mentoring session. We spent nearly 6 hours chatting about the business of photography, editing, marketing, pricing, etc. We ended our day with a mini photo shoot of Miss Cathleen in downtown Denver. Cathleen said she was a little leery about being behind the camera, but she seriously rocked it out!! I LOVE the images we were able to capture!
Cathleen Schmidt Photography specializes in babies, children, families and couples. We really dug into her business and created a list of actions items that will improve and grow her business, I can't wait to see what she does!! :-)
Once again, the Oxford Hotel set us up with a gorgeous board room, fully equipped with snacks, treats and drinks!
The blog will be silent the rest of the week as I travel to Philadelphia and Pittsburgh for more mentoring sessions. Excited to meet you all soon!
