GO BIG!!!

I LOVE it when clients order BIG prints, they look soooo nice!!!  I also LOVE canvases!!  I just got one in the mail for my sons room and thought I would give you a peak at what it looks like.  The nice thing about canvases is that they come ready to hang…no need to spend any extra money on framing.  PS – Sorry for the bad product photography, but you can get the point.  :-)

Here is a canvas that I added words to on each side.  It will be hung in Ryland’s Seahawk room (too bad they aren’t doing better this year).  Go Hawks!

Ry at the Pumpkin Patch

A couple days ago I took Ryland down south to a town called Gilbert, AZ.  They have a cute little pumpkin patch with goats, cows, roosters, hay stack maze, bounce house and tractor rides.  It was perfect for kiddos his age.  The place is called Mother Natures Farm and they are open daily for all of October.  With payed admission the kids got to pick out a pumpkin and decorate it full of stickers.

Once again, just snapshots, nothing fancy with the editing.  :-)  Enjoy the pictures!  STAY TUNED for a fabulous sneak peek from a family session at the Scottsdale Civic Center.

Portrait Party #2…just one…

I had two portrait parties this week.  This is just a good way to get lots of families in, in a short time period.  Lots of families are planning on giving photos as Christmas gifts (GREAT IDEA!) and using their photos for Christmas cards.

This family was so much fun to photograph!  They had a wonderful son who loved to take pictures.  At only 4 years old, he did a fantastic job!!  I get a lot of comments about my “polaroid” picture, so I thought he would be up for the task.  BTW – I got the “polaroid” idea from Mark Brooke, who is a fantastic photographer based out of Southern California.  :-)  I wasn’t quite sure if a 4 year old could get the concept of covering your face and holding out a polariod pic, but I was WRONG!  He did awesome!!  Here is the end result:

More posts to come in a day or so….

Portrait Party Sneak Peek (Part 1)

Last Thursday, I had a Portrait Party at our local park.  I was able to photograph 4 different families in 2 hours.  The reason a Portrait Party is different that a regular session is I only photograph you for about 20-30 minutes and pass on between 5-10 proofs.  These are great right around Christmas time, especially for those looking to give portraits as gifts or order Christmas Cards for friends and families.

This is just a sneak peek of the first two families I photographed.  Hopefully, I will post part 2 in a couple days.  I am just lovin’ the “Mocha” conversion on the first pic…it seems to be a little softer than a traditional black and white picture.  Enjoy!!
