Flying High…

It has been BEAUTIFUL weather these last few days in Phoenix. We have been taking advantage of the weather and have been trying to play outside more. Today, Ryland wanted to be thrown as high as the moon (the moon was out), so Dad did his best to get him “moon high”. Here are a few pics!

And, one more picture, taken against the sun.

Katie - YOu think Mark golfs much I can see the tan line on his hand!!! I think he did a good job on the moon high try. I don’t think I would want to get tossed that high.

A Year in Review – 2008

Just wanted to write a quick thank-you to all my 2008 brides and grooms. I worked with some WONDERFUL couples and was blessed to be apart of your special day. I am hopeful that 2009 will be just as successful. I also had the opportunity to photograph some beautiful families and children this year and hope to have a slideshow up before the new year. Below is a short slideshow of some of my favorite shots from the 2008 wedding season, ENJOY and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

PS – Show takes a little while to load, so be patient.:-)

The Nintendo Wii rocks!

untitled-1

Mark got a Nintendo Wii Sports Pack from his boss as a Christmas present.  We busted open the package a bit early and have been playing non-stop.  Ryland even got in on the fun!  For those of you who don’t know, you actually move your controller like you are swinging a bat, golf club, rolling a bowling ball, etc.  Ry and Mark are battling each other in a baseball game in the above pictures.  Fun stuff!

Don’t forget, brides and grooms get one of these wonderful machines if you book your wedding by January 29th.  :-)

Christmas in Arizona

1-of-3

Well, I have gotten a few new camera toys to play around with these last few weeks. Being a Sony shooter, I tend to run into a few problems have certain items “fit” my camera. One of them being Pocket Wizards. After doing days and days of research, I found Lon at Flash Zebra.com. He fixed all my problems!! I was able to get a few adapters and even some brackets to fit my flash/umbrella to my light stands. I finally could do some off-camera lighting!! THANKS LON, you rock!!

Now, off to my first test…I did a little off-roading tonight to find the perfect cactus at sunset in the desert. Well, I found one, but it was so tall I had NO chance of getting that darn Santa hat on it. So, I had to go find a much smaller one. As you can see from the pic above, the cactus I wanted to use is in the background. This was my very first attempt at off camera lighting. Probably not the most technically perfect photo, but I kind of like how it turned out. Enjoy!
