Happy Easter (a couple days late)…

We had a FANTASTIC Easter! Ryland woke up to a basket from the Easter Bunny and a big egg-hunt in the backyard. We then proceeded to a nice day at church, followed by another Easter egg hunt, Ryland was in heaven!!:-)We do have a comical story about church…I took Ryland to the bathroom during the service and when we arrived, Ryland decided to tell daddy (nice and loud)…”daddy I pooped,” “daddy, I pooped.” Everyone around us found that quite comical. Ah, the joys of having a 2-year-old. Too cute.
Once we arrived back home, we had ANOTHER basket from the NY Easter Bunny…WOW, that guy really gets around! Here are a couple pics of the boys and me and the boys, which is hard to come by. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Jackie - So precious. I just want to squeeze you all!

tina - Try being motion sick from a turbulent flight, in a crowded airport elevator, hunched over trying not to vomit. And a little voice asks “mommy what’s wrong?? You have a ouchy belly?? You just need to go to the potty and wait for the poop”……… :)

BTW your boys are precious!

A Renaissance Wedding…

Last night I had the great pleasure of second-shooting for the super-fab Jennifer Radack of O Grace Photography. I spent the late afternoon chillin’ with the boys at the Embassy Suites, getting some fun getting ready shots while Jennifer stayed with the girls. I had a great time with the guys…I am usually the one hanging out with the bride, so it was a very nice change-of-pace. The guys were decked out in full kilt-wear, which made for some awesome detail pics. After I was done shooting at the hotel, we moved onto The King’s Courtyard, which was where the couple were married. Here are a few shots of the venue and the bride walking down the aisle. Enjoy! Thanks Jennifer for letting me tag along!:-)

Fletcher and Mark + Desert Botanical Gardens = STUNNING PICS!

I had a WONDERFUL time photographing Fletcher and Mark’s E-session! They drove up from Tucson so we could take advantage of the AWESOME exhibit on display at the Desert Botanical Gardens. It was the second time I have shot at the Chihuly Exhibit, so I was totally excited to return! The weather was PERFECT and Fletcher and Mark were game for anything! I LOVED Fletcher’s clothes, it was a perfect pop of color for the desert landscape. I could have posted a TON of pics, but here are my top 9. You two were so much fun to work with, I am super excited to shoot your wedding in October! Enjoy!

The Proposal at The Phoenician…

A man named Ari contacted me a couple months ago with a genius plan to propose to his girlfriend and he wanted it to be photographed.  Of course, I jumped at the opportunity…how exciting!  It was to happen on March 28th, at the beautiful Phoenician Hotel in Phoenix, AZ.  Both Ari and Paige (Events Coordinator at The Phoenician) came up with a flawless plan that would totally surprise his girlfriend.  We all did several “dry runs” before she showed up to make sure everyone was in the right place at the right time.  Here are some pics of the fabulous day.

Here are a few detail shots from the property.  He proposed under a beautiful, secluded gazebo.

My night with Elton John and Billy Joel.

I just had to blog about the AWESOME concert I saw last night. Elton John and Billy Joel. I am AMAZED by their talents. These two can JAM…I mean, they are older gentlemen who can play the piano like nobody’s bizness and can sing with the best of them. I have a college friend who reminds me a bit a Billy Joel…Brian, if you are reading this, you need to be on stage, brother! Billy Joel even busted out some dance moves (they looked A LOT like my Dad’s dance moves).

Just to let you all know, there are several things that get me teary-eyed. One of them being the two talented men I saw last night in concert. Another is when Cal Ripken hit a home run in his last All-Star appearance at Safeco Field, when Paul Allen raised the 12th-Man Flag at Qwest Field, when the Saints won their first play-off game after Hurricane Katrina (who dat, Brandi!), when the Seahawks won the Championship game to get into the SuperBowl, and watching athletes cross the finish line at a marathon. I have been fortunate enough to see all these things in person and if you have the opportunity to witness stuff like this, DO IT…Carpe Diem my friends!!

I was just so inspired by their talents, I sang all the way home. That is also why I love my job. Sometimes I get emails from people saying that I am their inspiration…what a honor! Seriously, that is the best thing in the world, what a compliment, thank you!

Well, since a photo blog is pointless without any pics, here are some cell phone pics from the concert. You can’t really see much, but it is my proof I was there.:-)Billy Joel, Elton John, if you are reading this blog, leave me some blog-love. LOL!!
