What is an Oh Snap! Workshop?

Many parents purchase DSLR camera in hopes of not missing a moment of their children’s lives, but are not totally satisfied with the images when they appear on their computer screen.  They just want their images to be better.

Oh Snap! is a workshop that teaches parents how to take better pictures of their kids. It focuses on concepts you can easily put into practice, just by understanding lighting, composition, perspective and age appropriate techniques.  Participants will walk away with a 70 page presentation manual that includes both in depth details and quick tips for common situations which will help them improve their photos immediately… just by taking the time to assess light, change up their angle, and remember a few quick tips.

Topics include:
* training your eye to find the light,
* composition and perspective,
* lens and focal length selection,
* tips for great images at any age
* output: downloading, storage and printing
* high level review of exposure
* auto and semi-manual settings

All you need to do is Bring your camera and bring your questions!

Oh Snap! Workshop is only $99 and limited to 20 participants.

Attendees must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit and the remaining balance of $49 will be due 1 week prior to the workshop date.

SECOND, Jackie of Jax-Creations, which is located in Sandpoint, ID.  She actually took my maternity photos about 4 years ago when I was preggo with Ryland.  Little did she know that she was the one who planted that little photography seed in my head (not sure if I have ever told her this).  I was so blown away by what she created with the equipment she had that I was oh-so intrigued.  We actually emailed back and fourth quite a long time ago about photography…she was so open to helping me out.  Every once in awhile we will shoot each other emails and bounce ideas off each-other, love that!  Thanks girl!

THIRD, Alissa of Alissa Floyd Photography, who is  located out of Spokane, WA.  She was the first one who gave me “my big break”.  She allowed me to tag along at several of her weddings during the summer of ’07.  She was GREAT and I learned a ton!!!  Second-shooting is a wonderful gig, you don’t have to edit a darn picture, if you don’t want to.  :-)  She also invited me to her house to learn the in’s and out’s of studio lighting.  She was the one who showed me about a great little program called LIGHTROOM…ahhhhhh!!  I have a HORRIBLE memory, but it is funny the little things I remember about the business.

I also want to give a quick shout out to the wonderful Jennifer Radack of O Grace Photography, which is based out of Phoenix, AZ.  She was kind enough to sit down with me one morning and give me tips and hints on how to improve my business, Jennifer, you are one smart cookie!  Love ya girl!

Oh yeah…one more and it is a BIG ONE!!  I am 100% self-taught, lots of reading, workshops and photography forums…the girls of my PHOTO BOARD are AMAZING!!  You are all a very talented group of ladies who are helpful, open, honest and hella-funny!  Much love to all ya’ll!!

And now for the evolution of Keri Doolittle Photography…below is my first logo, my current logo and MY NEW LOGO-TO-BE???  In about 3-4 weeks, I will be rolling out a completely new brand and am so excited to share it with everyone!!  Now, because this is an online birthday party, lets have a give away.  For those of you who follow me on Facebook, I wrote about a “pay it forward” moment I had during the Christmas season.  To make a long story short, I found a beautiful ring that was planted by our local jeweler, Andrew Z. Fine Jewelry.  It is a beautiful ring, but since I am not a ring-person, I thought I would give it away instead of having it sit in the case all my life. Pictures of the ring are below.

Well, it was a Boudoir weekend. I think everyone wanted to get some pictures taken for their hubby or boyfriend. This is Miss L, she is beautiful and has STUNNING eyes! Miss L was a total sweetheart. She is actually a model and wants to work for some of the big lingerie companies, like Victoria Secret. I say GO FOR IT!! You got the goods sister! Here are some shots I got of Miss L doin’ her thang. Hope you like them!!





Although this is a little “soft” (out of focus), I think she look so pretty in this picture!

If I can squeeze in a little bit of time before moving, packing, getting ready for Christmas, I will try and put up a “2009″ slideshow before I leave town.

Well, I have been working behind the scenes to launch a new Boudoir site, but as life got busy, this little project was put onto the back burner. Hopefully, in the spring of 2010 it will be complete. Miss T shot me an email a couple weeks ago and I was able to squeeze in one last session before we jetted for Spokane/Denver. Miss T wanted to get these pictures taken for her husband as a little gift (I think he’s gonna like ‘em!). You were absolutely wonderful to work with and you are a beautiful person, inside and out. I wish you and your husband all the very best. Have a wonderful Christmas!!
