And, because it is hard to carry my “big” camera around all the time, here is a little collage of my iPhone images from the weekend!  Hope you all had a great weekend!!

Mark informed me this morning that I hadn’t posted pictures from our day, so I hopped on the computer this morning to add a few snaps from our outing last weekend.  Ryland is driving the ball really far and Easton has a beautiful backswing!!  Can’t wait to get these boys in a few lessons, they LOVE the game!

He did a FANTASTIC job!!  Got all his lines correct and we were all sooooo proud of him!!  The family all sent their well wishes, which he got to open up on opening night of the play.  The cutest part was we were all instructed to bring a pad of paper for autographs after the show.  Ryland was determined to get his entire cast-mates signatures before he left.  Also, big props to their teacher, Ms. Jeanne, for directing, she did a FABULOUS job!!

He is very excited for round-two of acting class!!

I made the decision to take my 70-200mm lens, thanks to a handful of friends on Facebook!  :-)  Below are a few snaps…Ryland is #28 (Royal Blue team)…there is a mix of images of both teams.  Looking forward to next weekend!

And, I just happened to have a camera laying around the house, so we took off on Sunday evening and took some quick pics of the kiddos.  Enjoy!!!

Seriously, I am completely ecstatic and thrilled to get this!!  I have worked really hard for the past five years developing a strong brand backed by top-notch customer service (in my opinion) and have had some absolutely amazing clients to help me along the way, thank you!!

Along with the award, I will be featured in the Stiletto Women’s Magazine and will make sure to pass on the link once it is published.

Yesterday there were several fire burning toward the edge of the Front Range.  And, because of the high winds, the smoke from the fires started spreading throughout the Denver-metro area.  Outside of our house, we saw the smoke consume the sky, which was a pretty awesome site to see.  The sun started to glow a bright-red color (see the last image below), so, naturally, I grabbed my camera and took a couple shots.  The kids were fascinated with the entire process.

Back to Denver…once I was done with the 5K, the kids met me at the course and got ready for their FIRST kids run!!  Oh, they were sooooo excited!!!  Here are a few shots from their race!!

Next, was a branding/marketing feature on the Pursuit 31 blog.  Pursuit 31 has an amazing mission…keep God, families and marriages your number one priority in life.  When running a small business sometimes it is difficult to remember that the important things in your life should always remain #1.  When Karen asked me to share about my branding, I was beyond thrilled.  I really enjoy sharing about my business and what a better platform to show people the goods of KDP.  :-)  Here is a link to that BLOG POST.

Lastly, was a personal interview at LSI (Learn Shoot Inspire).  LSI is an amazing group of photographers, who mostly specialize in kiddo and newborn photography, however, there are a few of us wedding photographers.  :-)  I LOVE doing personal interviews…seems I always learn a little something about myself when really thinking about my answers.  I had a fun time pulling up some of my favorite images to showcase, too!  If you want to learn about the person behind KDP, here is the link to the BLOG POST.

So, this weekend was our first Rookie-league Curling match.  We lost.  No worries, we will rebound next week now that our strategy is in place.  Our game started at 9:45 PM and lasted nearly two hours, so I was sooooo tired when I came home, not to mention the fact that I couldn’t even bend over my back hurt so bad.  When you Curl for 2 hours you use muscles you didn’t think existed, so today it still hurts my ribs to blow my nose.  :-)  As you can see from the image above, we have a bit of a mess in front of the “house” (circle of rings).  Lots of “rocks” in front with very few in scoring position (we are the red team).  I have to say, if you have ever thought of trying Curling, GO!  It is such a blast and I can’t wait for this Saturday to try it again!

This morning Easton’s 2 – 3 year old book arrived in the mail today from Collages.net.  I normally use another printing company, but I really like the affordability and selection that Collages.net offers.  (Plus, they always have GREAT coupons!)  I chose a 10×10 square coffee table with UV coated lay-flat pages.  The pages were a little too glossy for my liking and will most definitely be ordering a matte finish next time.  The cover was fabulous and the lay-flat pages were top-notch.  I also liked the layer of vellum paper that was used before the start of the book and at the end of the book.  Here are a few shots of the end product:

I have to say, this is quite exciting!  I am not a big fan of snow, but thankfully, there is sun in the forecast for next week.  The mountains REALLY need the snow, so I am hoping they are getting dumped on, too!  Here is a pic out my front door…doesn’t look like much (yet)…I will keep taking pics throughout the day so you can see the progress.
