Just messin’ around tonight with some off-camera flash (please just ignore the background A/C unit). The kiddos were nice enough to put on their favorite superhero costumes and do some superhero moves for me!
Sun is camera left, coming in the same direction as my off-camera light. Before I started, I exposed for a nice, rich blue sky, which put me at f8 (shutter 1/250th, which is my sync-speed). Then, I matched my flash to my aperture and was good to go!

Since the sun was setting, I wanted to try and get a sunburst behind the kiddos. So, we rotated the flash (alien bee) and pointed it towards the sun and set my aperture at f22. I needed my flash at full power in order to light up the kiddos.

They are too stinking adorable! Great shots
Great play with OCF! Looks like you’ve got it down
Love OCF setup and the results. This is just how the human eye would see these images.
