And, because a post is a bit boring without images, here are some snapshots of our recent trip to Dinosaur Ridge!! Located in the small town of Morrison, right off the freeway, was a small tourist spot that has some pretty amazing finds! While working on one of the paved roads in the 1930′s, some construction workers found dinosaur tracks on the side of the mountain. Comes to find out, not only were there tracks, but bones and fossils!! The kids LOVED the tour and I think Ryland secretly wants to be the tour guide at DinoRidge, he would not leave our guides side. We did dress Ryland in a stegosaurus t-shirt, which gave him extra points. We also found out that the mighty stegosaurus is the state fossil (double-points!). Who knew!?
