The doorbell rang last week and a very pleasant lady from Longmont Dairy Farm asked if I wanted a free bottle of milk. ”Well, of course I will have a free bottle of milk”, I said. She then goes on to explain how they deliver fresh milk, right to your doorstep, every week. SHUT THE FRONT DOOR (no, I didn’t shut the front door), I was just FLOORED that this type of service actually existed. I went on to tell her I felt like I just warped back into the 1950′s and that I had to go adjust the rabbit ears on my TV set. I was seriously just grinning from ear to ear.

This is way too cool.
I used to get milk delivered and miss the freshness of it! It costs slightly more than the grocery store, but I never get out of the grocery store with just milk – so in the long run it was a huge savings. Now we just don’t drink enough of it to justify but I loved the service!!
Growing up we used to have a milk man that would bring the milk by every week. I cant believe this still exists!
Longmont Dairy is right next to where I live. So I dare say my milk is fresher than yours, by about 30 minutes….=) Glad you love it!
Awesome!!!!
Awesome!!!!
My son’s great grandparents had a dairy that delivered. I would love to have that option right now. We have a grocery shopping pact in our family. If you are in the store, buy a carton of milk ALWAYS. Are the bottles glass? Too cool!
I used to get milk in bottles just like that when I was in college in Ellensburg! YUMMO! You’d pay the $1 bottle deposit and just bring the empty and get a new milk. They even had the best homemade ice cream ever! I’m going there on Saturday so thanks for reminding me, go to Winegars and get a marshmellow ice cream soda…. oh how I miss those days sometimes.
I’m SO jealous!
we love longmont dairy milk! just another fabulous thing about colorado! ps – your photography is inspiring- that’s really why i came to your blog. but i just had to comment about the dairy cause it rocks too.
