So, my quest to trek has begun. Last night I started pre-training for the Denver Rock N’ Roll half-marathon in October. My mom and some of her friends are flying down from Spokane to join me for the big race.
Now, the reason I say “pre-training” is because I need to train before the training even starts! I just need to get back into walking-mode before the official training starts in July. The good thing about training for a half-marathon is you can really eat whatever you want (well, I think that is how I understand it). You burn so many calories walking for hours on end, you need to replenish your body with all those lost calories. Hopefully, by the time October rolls around, I will be a walking machine.
I will keep you all updated on my progress. :-)
