This spring, we enrolled Ryland into the mini mites soccer league through our local rec center. And, once again, Mark stepped up to be the coach, what a great guy! :-) I have to give props to Mark because I was gone most Saturday’s shooting weddings and he had to not only coach a soccer team, but watch little Easton at the same time. Because of the age of the kiddos, they would practice for the first 30 minutes and then attempt to scrimmage each other for the next 30 minutes.
To give a quick explanation of these pics, Easton loves to watch his brother play soccer, HOWEVER, there was something much more interesting to him in the next stall over…BASEBALL. He probably could sit for hours watching those little kids hit the ball. I was having a good time until the coach told one of his kids “you throw like a girl”. What I really wanted to do, is hand the coach a bat and say “I’ll pitch to you, sucker”. I would have loved to seen him strike out after I threw him a few. Anyhow, I digress…
The last set of pictures is of Mark doing his favorite drill, “kick the coach”. If one of the kiddos kicked him with a ball, they get to tell him what animal to be. So, he runs around the field making all kinds of animal sounds. We played this when we lived in Arizona and one of the kiddos told him to be a toilet. Ahhh, I love it!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
