As mentioned in my previous post, I have A LOT to blog about!! I started the weekend at Chaparral High School doing a Senior-Picture show to all the current juniors. I had a GREAT time and am totally excited to photograph some of the students that I met. After the show, I caught the red-eye to Phoenix to not only shoot a wedding, but to meet up with the super-fabulous Kelly Mendoza of True Bliss Photography for a mentoring session. Kelly is based out of LaMirada, California and photographs babies, kiddos, families, seniors and soon-to-be weddings!! We spent Friday morning chatting about the business side of photography, then used the afternoon to shoot some models (who were WONDERFUL!) and then took Kelly out for a little shoot of her own! Kelly is fantastic…we are a lot alike, both trying to find the right balance of family, photography and life. Taking this mentoring session really shows me that Kelly is dedicated to her craft and wants to improve and perfect all aspects of her photography business.
