From time to time I like to feature some of my favorite vendors and photographers from throughout the United States. I met Ashley through a wonderful photo board I belong to and just love her work! I got in touch with her over the weekend and asked her a few questions about her business. Below are her answers and some of her BEAUTIFUL photos! Thanks Ashley, see you in Vegas next spring!!

1.Tell us a little about yourself, maybe something that would be a surprise to everyone…
This is a hard question. I played golf in college for two years. My sister was an amazing golfer and I think they thought I might be as good as her some day. I wasn’t. Ha!

2. What is in your camera bag and what is your favorite lens?
Canon 5D, Canon 5D MarkII, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, 24-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8, 100mm 2.8 macro, 580 exII Speedlight, 2 Sunpack 383 flashes, 3 pocket wizards, 2 small hand held video lights

My FAVORITE lens is my 85 1.8 closely followed by my 70-200 2.8 (ME TOO, ASHLEY!)

3. What is on your iPod (or any other type of listening device)?
Oh boy…

4. Do you have a favorite wedding moment that sticks out in your head?
I had a wedding recently where the bride had a 10-year-old sister. During the father daughter dance the little sister joined them. It was really emotional and sweet.

On a little crazier note, last year I had a bride and all of her bride’s maids jump in the swimming pool at the reception. That was really fun. All of the guests at the hotel were out on their balconies watching and it made for some really fun photos.

5. Why wedding photography?
I LOVE weddings. I love everything about them. I get excited talking to each and every bride about their wedding day details. I can’t wait to see the dress, the veil, the flowers and I love how every wedding I do has something unique about it. Also, when is another time in your life that you have everyone you love all gathered together for a party? There is just no other day like a wedding day.
