We normally spend a great deal of time up in Spokane over the summer. First, I can book a few weddings during their busy season and second, we can escape from the blazing heat of Arizona. This year, we took a day and went up to Priest Lake to visit my sister-in-law and her family. They live in a BEAUTIFUL home, right on the lake. If you are familiar with North Idaho, it is know for their huckleberries. We could pick huckleberries for DAYS there were so many. They make for delicious shakes, cakes and pancakes!! Ryland LOVED picking them, but most of them ended up in his mouth. Ry’s cousins, Avy and Riker, spend most of the summer at the lake house, then return to Texas for the remainder of the year.
The house we visited was moved over from the East Coast and is the oldest house in the western United States (if I had an educated guess, I would say 1712…Jade, you might have to correct me in a comment below).
I was able to take a few minutes and walk around the house to get some pics…it was so nice to be in a quite environment, taking pictures…I could have stayed much longer, but I had to work the next morning back in Spokane.
Hope you enjoy the pics…AVY and RIKER…you are FAMOUS, have fun at school!!!![]()

Great pics. I can’t believe how big Avy and Ryker are!!!! All the kids are growing up so fast!
Good times! I love all the color and great moments you captured.
Its so beautiful and there is no way to see this scene in AZ during summer. Glad to see you family!
These are awesome. That looks like an amazing place.
Amazing and beautiful pictures. Thank you so much! Avy and Riker love being famous! Aunt Keri you are the GREATEST.
Great pics, Keri! Priest Lake is beautiful and there is nothing like hand picked huckleberries from Priest!
We love having family at the lake. The pictures are fantastic. The salt box house was built in 1721 by Ebenezor Cutler on the west side of Boston, Mass. It was recycled for our family to enjoy.
What an awesome place! Looks like it was so much fun. And the kids are stinkin’ adorable!
These are such awesome pics!!!!! I love them all!
