Would love some feedback on this post. If you are interested in seeing more BEFORE/AFTER shots, just add a comment and I can try and do one about once every 2 weeks or so. I am currently editing a beautiful wedding, which actually doesn’t take too much work on the editing side of things, but here is my workflow on the photo below:
.jpg)
In the above picture, I wanted the focus to be on the brides face, so here are my steps (all done in PS3):
1. selected everything below the brides face with the magic lasso and added a gaussian blur (about 4.3). This made her body a little out of focus.
2. I just got the new Totally Rad Actions 2, and played with a few on this pic. I added “Clarify” at about 50%, which brightened up the entire pic. I might have even ran “Oh Snap” from TRA1, which adds some nice contrast.
3. Then, I used my clone tool to brighten up under her eyes. I usually dodge eyes, but I didn’t feel it was necessary on this picture.
4. Cloned out all the writing on the wall behind her.
5. Sharpened with SmartSharpen (in PS3) at about 100/1.3 (radius). Then, did a “save as” to a jpeg.
That is all folks!! Let me know if you want me to continue with these types of posts.

OMG – YES… please continue. You seriously have become one of my new photography idols because you have come so har so fast and your work is truley amazing and what I aspire for my own personal photography. You sharing your secrets will be so valuable. Thank you so much!!
I found your site through onephotosource (congrats on that btw). Really like your work and love the before/after which is so helpful. I have a few questions, when you have time: What did you mean by “I used my clone tool to brighten up under her eyes.” ? My method is the patch tool with a fade and so I’m curious about options. Also, can you do a before/after of the waterpark photos? That would be great. Lastly, how do you do that polaroid kissing shot that was on the onephotosource website; that’s cool! Hope you’re enjoying your vacation and taking lots of photos!!
