We just returned from a WONDERFUL time in New Orleans!! We all made the trip to Louisiana to attend my step-brothers wedding. It was fantastic!! Hopefully, I can walk you through our adventures in NOLA (New Orleans, Louisiana). We stayed at the beautiful Hotel Monteleone:
Day one was an amazing rehearsal dinner at Cochon, which was rated one of the best restaurants in the country! We dined on alligator, duck livers, roasted pig, and many other New Orleans fare! Day two was the wedding…it rained all day, but God decided to give us a break for the ceremony, which was held on a bridge. Here are some pics of the wedding:

Steve and Michel’s reception was held at the Pitot House, which is an old colonial-style house. This is them up on the balcony of the house, newly married…
Day Three of our adventures was a baby shower for Kath and Kyle, who just had a beautiful baby boy named Finn. He is about 5 weeks old. This is Kath opening up one of her cards…

Day four was an “after wedding party” at the F & M Bar. It was a HUGE crawfish boil. I have never seen so many crawfish in life!! I guess this is a pretty popular thing to do in New Orleans. We were also entertained by the Rebirth Brass Band…man, those guys can PLAY!!! It was a BLAST!
Lastly, we saw “Hanson’s Sno-Bliz” stand on the way back from the crawfish boil. Apparently, this place is a legend around NOLA. We thought they were just “sno-cones”, oh, but we were WRONG…those things ROCKED!! It felt like we stepped back into the old-school days, I loved it!
