A Day In My Life – Part 2 (the haircut.)

OK, naptime is over (so fast).  After a very quick lunch (Ryland ate one noodle), we played a game of “Where is your Eyes, Where is your teeth, etc”.  Ryland calls his ears his eyes, but hey, that is OK, he is only 18 months.  :-)

Time to get back in the car, once again, and drive into town.  I am really proud of my rockin’ license plate, so I had to take a pic.  Also, I added a pic of the wonderful Phoenix traffic.  Living in a city of over 3 million people you are bound to run into traffic at some point!!

So, our big afternoon adventure was to get Ryland’s haircut.  As you can see from the previous pics, he is well over-due for a little trim.  Last time I was out shopping I saw this CUTE place called Lollilocks.  So, we made the 30 min. drive into town because I THOUGHT Ryland would have fun there…WRONG!  First, he wanted to rip off the cape…ok, we’ll take it off.  Next, he was like “lady, don’t even touch my hair with that buzzing thing.”

Then, the screaming began.  There is a gap in my pictures because I had to hold Ryland down while she cut his hair.  She did an AMAZINGLY quick haircut, I was impressed.  Once he was out of the chair, he was fine…he went and played with all the toys until momma said “it is time to go.”  Then, full out screaming again.  :-)

His hair looks GREAT, so I decided to treat him to The Disney Store.  MISTAKE.  You know what the Disney store means?  It means that momma gets to pick up all the toys that end up on the ground.  Sorry for the bad-lighting on these pics, it wasn’t the most photographer-friendly place.

Finally, we get to go home.  Our very last stop was the gas-station.  As you can see, I was playing with some self-portraits in my side-view mirror.  I think the people at the gas station thought I was crazy…but, I was crackin’ myself up!!  :-)  Once we got home my husband got back early from Vegas…YEAH!!  And, although I didn’t take any pics, I actually go to go out that night…yeah momma!!  Thanks for taking the time to read about our day!

I’m rather impressed with his “don’t mess with texas” shirt!

You are a saint, I “worked” (if three months counts) at the Disney Store my Sophomore year in college and that horrid Plush Mountain was my chore throughout the day. I can’t tell you how many parents let their kids pluck the toys out only to walk away. You made someone’s day. Thanks for sharing about yours!! Miss ya, hope to see you soon!!
